HOLY COW!!!!!! What a GREAT time at LCON 7!!!!! This is your wrap up information. All the games this year were a TON of fun!!!! And even as a nod to GM John Stephens, HQ just picked up the FATE Core system this very day. And not only that, we already have plans to run said system for a fan favorite genre - The Old West! So be ready to break out the six shooters next year boys because the lead is going to fly!

As always though we here at HQ have discovered that yet again the sign up system for games needs some revision and we shall spend time looking at all suggestions and working on a new system for next year. That being said, we need more GM's, this year was almost a panic as two of our GM's almost had to bow at and one did have to for family medical reasons. We must have more games available without anyone having to run to many and not have a chance to play. Because of that HQ is calling out all GM's right now that haven't ran at LCON. I'm talking about Mr. Gregg McBride and since the return of Mr. Dave LaHay him as well. I know for a fact that both of these gentlemen are capable of running a very fine game and as such I expect to see their names on the roster for next year. Thank you to all that ran this year and send out your well wishes to Mr. Hambricks' wife Robynn for a speedy recovery. Mr. John Stephens, Mr. Scott Eaves and Mr. Nathan Hinkle all did a fantastic job of running multiple games this year as always and all three are excellent GM's and LCON loves having them on the roster of GM's every year. Thanks to Mr. Trey Korber for taking his first leap into running at LCON. And as always a large gathering of players and spectators were on hand for Mr. Jerry Johnson's epic Pendragon. A special thanks goes out to GM Gary LaBrot for grace under pressure, after the cancellation of Will Spencer from the GM roster this year, Mr. LaBrot grabbed the reigns and still came through with two fantastic CoC games, kudos to him!

Now to some exciting news! The MVP for LCON 7.............was our very own staff GM Larry Fedorchalk, but as a side ruling seeing as how staff all ready have a free ride for sign ups the MVP goes to our runner up...............MARK!!!!!!! Mr. LaBrot once again brings along a sleeper person that sweeps in and takes a prize. Congratulations go out to Mark!

And now for the MVGM! A break down of the GM ratings are as follows:

Jerry Johnson              4.75
Nathan Hinkle             4.71
John Stephens             4.53
Gary LaBrot                4.44
Larry Fedorchalk        4.40
Scott Eaves                 4.27
Trey Korber                3.60

So Congratulations to Mr. Johnson just barely squeaking out a victory on the point board!!!!!!
Prizes will be awarded to both our MVP and our MVGM at registration for LCON 8!

Now just a little glimpse of what next year has in store, it would appear that the Thistledown Game Group of old is putting pressure on staff to run a reunion game of 2nd edition D&D in Forgotten Realms. Staff only had this to say on the subject, "Lives will hang in the balance as the group faces off against ghosts from their past, with the title of "When Ghosts Come Calling" As a second peak staff will be running the Star Hero that didn't make it in this year, title "Spiders.......Why Did It Have To Be Giant Irradiated Spiders!" Also as mentioned above a western will again see the light of day but at this time no title is available.

On a closing note if anyone has pictures from this year please email them to HQ and we will post them as they come in and at the rate that information is already coming in for LCON 8 you may not want to put the dice away! (Twitch and a drool) inside joke for those in the know! LOL

So for those of you that haven't placed your order yet, you still have time. Also for all GM's, please submit your games, max number of players, system and a synopsis as soon as you can. Again the more games we have to put in the schedule makes scheduling easier. Thank you

It would appear that we are closing in on the end of 2013, which can only mean one thing.........it's time for the year end newsletter and news for LCON 7!!!!!!!!!!!
LCON 6 was HUGE!!!! A massive amount of gaming, friends and loads of FUN. All the games seemed to be a bunch of fun even though one game was a bit overcrowded and caused the GM to later seek professional help and one seemed to fall a little short of the mark, but over all a huge success. Nothing like sitting around a table sounding like cavemen, shooting friends, killing zombies, bringing about war and saving everyone you can. The great prizes donated this year were more than we ever expected to see at our tiny con, thank you so much to our gracious benefactor. Congratulations again go out to both John and Will, our big winners. And thanks as well go out to Gary and Will for a very memorable dungeon crawl (which of course was won by the best team by 4 whole points).
Now on to the news for 2014's LARRYCON 7. As always we are looking for people to run games. It is so important for GM's to step forward and be willing to put something together and follow through (although we do understand when things have to change). Please get your ideas sent into HQ as soon as you can with a full synopsis and number of players that you can have at your table. We here at HQ already have big games on tap, because of the huge celebration of Doctor Who this year HQ will be running a Doctor Who game full of surprises. We also are putting together a major slugfest of heroic proportions in a Marvel Saga game and last but not least we are throwing out there a Star Trek game where a situation with the Romulans could get ugly. The title theme for LCON 7 is "It's a Matter of Timing"
Big news for LCON 7 is that we are officially starting the con a day earlier next year for four full days of fun and games. Also it was bantered about that we could start an LCON board game section to the schedule, which will be done. If anyone has a board game they would like to donate to the LCON board game library feel free to bring those as well. The dates set aside at this point are July 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th so start planning your vacations around those dates....lol. Also deadlines for games to be put in for scheduling is going to be bumped up next year to March 31st in an attempt to get scheduling done faster so it can get to you so you can start planning out your weekend easier. Regarding shirts for LCON 7, shirt cost will be $20 if attending and $25 if unable to attend. Please have money in to HQ by March 31st as well. If writing a check, please email us at larryconhq@gmail.com to get the directors name. It would appear that that is all the news for now but rest assured we here at HQ are always looking for ways to make it even better every year, as proof here are some pics of a grand playtest battle of MECHCLIX. And may all of you have a great Thanksgiving and a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Can't wait to see everybody back again next year and hopefully we will see some new faces and even those that haven't been in awhile would be great to see as well.
Now for new news. Hopefully all of you received your first email about the year long game and a few of you have received your first character update. A week ago yesterday the rest of the crowd began to show up, for some the journey was easy, for others they had a little more to overcome. Flat tires aside though all showed and the gaming began. The gaming even began a little earlier this year with an open game of Savage Worlds being ran on Friday afternoon. And then the BIGGIE got ran that evening. An event for the LCON history books, a game for all attendees at once! That's right LARRYCON staff GM Larry Fedorchalk ran It Came From the Late, Late, Late Show for 12 people. When interviewed he took his thumb out of his mouth long enough to shout AAAAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!!!! Somehow I don't think that HQ plans on doing such an event again. After the gaming ran down for the night people began to lounge, visit and take in a movie at the theatre lounge. More updates to come later. Have a peek at the Friday events below.

AWESOME!!!!!! FRIDAY!!!!!
